Jennifer Lockette
Jennifer A. Lockette was born in a small town in Mississippi with a population of less than 2,000. The town is characterized by flat land, crops, vegetation, trees, and ponds. Jennifer graduated from Woodland High School in Woodland, MS. She initially worked in several industrial factories before pursuing cosmetology, obtaining her cosmetologist license in 1990.
With a passion for beauty and art, Jennifer transformed what was once a hobby into a professional pursuit. Her early interests included doodling and drawing, despite incurring multiple book fines during her school years.
As a single mother of three, Jennifer relocated to California in 1997 and married in 2010. Her artwork often features elements such as pathways and water, symbolizing a "way out."
To support her family, she worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for decades. As an artist, Jennifer has received numerous accolades, including the "People's Choice" award. She has participated in many art shows throughout the Bay Area.
